When Will the Bullying Stop?

Does the title sound familiar? LOL I think I used the exact same wording but today I substituted 'Bullying' for 'Nightmares'.

It's a fact, though, that bullying will go on forever until we decide to do something about it!

 

 

So here is the video that I posted on my Youtube channel... okay, so currently there is nothing on it except for this video. I also have it on my facebook page. I think that it is important that we all reach out and be the bigger people in dangerous situations where people are threatened. No one deserves to be bullied, no matter who they are, what they have done, or where they are from (that sounded like a Backstreet Boys song...).

 

Does everyone agree?

 

Many people know about my struggles in the past with bullying, depression, low self-esteem and suicide. It's a path that no one wants to go down and a life that no one wants to live. I can understand why so many young people have committed suicide because of the bullies; I've been there and wanted the same thing myself.

 

Some people have asked me various questions about what it was like, what I did, and what made me change. One of the most common questions that I am asked is "How did you, in turn, beat the bully and not let them beat you?"

 

I can so answer that.

 

Bullying is something that no one deserves, as I had said earlier.

 

After being beat down so many times and over and over again, you get tired of it. You want something to change, and most of all, you don't want to let the bullies win. It's easier said than done, I agree.

 

But you know what? Reaching out for help is the number one way to get yourself out of a terrible situation like that. Getting help and asking for it is not a sign of weakness, it's a sign of character. It shows that you recognize that you are in trouble, and you can't fend it off alone.

 

I hope that you guys will make EVERY SINGLE DAY anti-bullying day.

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful women out there, young and the young at heart, that we call our mothers, grandmothers, or godmothers! We are all so truly blessed to have you, I know I am! <3

So today is a question and answer day! :)

Firstly, I'd like to start with a crazy question that I spent an hour gawking at my laptop screen for. This was not because I was disgusted or mortified. Usually there are a fair couple of questions that stump me, but this one takes it above and beyond what I have ever seen in my inbox before. So let's tackle this one first; I know the one who sent it has been anticipating an answer... :)

Q: JAAG, I'm in a tight situation. I have been going out with my boyfriend for about five years. We're only 18, and we had sex two months ago for the second time. I thought we were totally protected, and since nothing happened the first time, I was sure that things would be the same. However, I was terribly wrong. I found out three weeks ago that I am now pregnant. I don't know what to do! Should I abort it or give birth to it?... I'm so lost, and I need help. - Too Young for Motherhood, via Email

JAAG: Okay. Take a deep breath. First things first, this will tell you that in the future, you really have to be aware that protection may not always prevent you from getting pregnant, and that even though the first time through was totally fine, things can always change.
Secondly, being a Catholic, I would tell you don't abort the baby. I know that most people would say "Well, it was an accident, so it really has no purpose in life." Actually, that is totally false. All humans being born into this world have a purpose, even if it can't be seen immediately. I know it is scary, but I hope that you will take care of this baby knowing that this is going to be YOUR daughter.
I know that the thought is terrifying - at 18, the most stressful thing on your mind should be finding a date to senoir prom, not wonder about what to do with your baby! I need you to talk to someone about your options: your parents, a counsellor, a doctor, to explore what your course of action should be during pregnancy and after you give birth to it. I really hope that you don't abort the baby. That baby is very precious. Please consider your actions very carefully and slowly before you do anything that you might regret. Best of luck to you and your boyfriend, and of course to the future baby. Next time also, please be prepared! I'm pretty sure you don't want to go through the same thing again.

JAAG: Here's a thought for you: What I might like, your girlfriend might hate. After all, she is your girlfriend, and I'm not her! So instead of asking me, you may be better off asking her. Pay attention to her, and think about what her likes and dislikes are, preferably her likes. If you don't know these things by now, you may want to take some time to re-evaluate how you hang with her and whether or not you really know her. But yeah, find something sentimental and she'll definitely approve :)

... meaning work. my job. meh, it's fine and all. if you like chilling with little children all day who have no regards for manners and fight and bicker over the tiniest of tiny things. it's ghetto but fun at the same time.

i learned something new the other day, that maybe i should have a long time ago.

i was hung up over a guy that i couldn't have, and it made me sad and depressed when i should have forgot him (hello, Cee Lo Green!) and moved on.

but i didn't.

so now what i understand is that if i forget, then i can move on, be more happy and live my life. get somewhere, some how, in my own pace and time. and i am proud to say that i found someone to love.

i did. and i thought that i wouldn't be able to because this person left such  a scar on my heart, after he used me and broke my heart. </3

but it's all good now. i think that in time to come, he'll be coming back to me trying to win back my forgiveness... but by that time it will be too late for him. i'll 'find someone someday who might actually treat me well' ...

well, whatever. if he doesn't want me and wants to spend his days with some random girl who doesn't love him the way i do, then too bad, his loss.

well, gotta split. it's beginning to look a lot like parents running off to Wal-Mart to buy school supplies, and the summer sun has begun to fade, sadly enough. oh well... seasons of love, baby. gotta love school.. for the friends and awesome teachers i mean, erm....


stay good for the rest of the vacay, you only got so many days left to spend in the sun. and before you know it, you'll be back in the classroom for another ten months of pure educational enjoyment. LOVE IT WHILE IT LASTS!

now, for me, life has just seem to make a 180 degree turn. i'm so thankful for people like you for reading. i'm thankful for family and friends when it seems like i am the only one left that can fend for myself.

break in segment. someone asked me a question very recently (read: a couple minutes ago) so i will answer it now, if that's alright...

it turns out that there is some guy following me by the username @sexychickfinder. anyone know who that is? (i have no idea who you are, but i guess in someways this is quite, er, flattering?...)

okaay, sexychickfinder guy. i will answer only the first question for obvious reasons.

what exactly do i look for in a guy? well, i would like someone honest and full of respect. there is no point in me dating you if we don't base our relationship on respect. if you don't respect me, my family or friends, my life and religion, then you can FORGET IT.

i don't have a preference. regardless of race, if you are honest, witty, respectful, a hard-worker and fun to be around, then i'd love to be with you. there are so many people that i have met that have earned their few badges and merits here and there according to my guidelines, but i have yet to meet the ONE. SPECIAL. GUY. who can get me all those things and much more. i don't want my love to be just a one-sided thing; i need COMMITMENT and EQUALITY in my relationship. i need someone who can see me through in my darkest times. i need someone who can let me BE FREE, and BE ME.

so, @sexychickfinder guy, i hope this helps. maybe (or most-likely) we won't meet, but i hope you can find somebody to love. pardon the Justin Bieber cliche.

so yeah, how goes it? i hope everyone is doing well.

on the flip side to all this rain we have been getting in our town, it's one week away from spring break!
i can't believe it! the year has gone by so fast, it's almost like...

...a blur. wow. pretty soon the school year will be over, and then it's summer time! :)

in terms of catching up? well, nothing really happens in my life. it all happens in my head.

one thing you should all know is that my head is full of randomness. i am not joking. if we all had the ability to look inside each other's heads, i must admit that mine would be quite a scary sight.

just a fair warning. :P

i think that people who understand life are people that are like this kid right here. i wish that that kid was me...

so yeah. to quote one of my favorite bands, Big Time Rush,

"...it's the only life you got, so you gotta live it big time."

but what about spring?

first off, i believe the Oscars are among us?...

secondly, my last post was about spring. and a couple days ago, we got a heck of a lot of snow dumped onto our roads and front porches.

and March is only a day away!!!!!!!

sheesh. it's almost spring, supposedly, but there is all this fluffy, white, majestic powder that fell from the sky (hey Mother Nature, try Head and Shoulders...) so yeah. i mean, where is the spring like weather? we've been hovering around sub zero temperatures.

SO NOT COOL!

yay, okay, to make myself better, here is a summer like picture.... summer will be here soon!

Things to Learn (:

I've been asked so many questions on my acount because people feel that i am a good advice giver. that's pretty strange, because even sometimes i don't trust myself with the advice i give to me...
not that you should feel alarmed :)

let's start with life skills! :
- be polite. it pays to be polite and to have manners. plus, people will love you more that way.
- try not to hold grudges. i know it's hard, but if it's an honest mistake, let it go. a fight over a crush isn't worth a friendship ended.
- obey your parents. they lived longer than you, hence they know more.
- don't hurt your siblings in any way or form. they are your backbone in the future.
- live every moment like it's your last. don't waste the precious time you have!
- the people who go far in life are the people who dance the rain and play hopscotch, and don't cry over spilled milk.

now, let's go onto friendship:
- guys are whatever. friends are FOREVER!
- following that note, never let a crush get in the way of your friendship. it's not worth it!
- stay true, be you. honesty is the best policy.
- when you have a fight, always be the first to say sorry.
- if something goes crazy wrong, don't let it get the best of you and assume something that probably isn't true. you're friend won't hurt you, so talk it out.
- when your friend needs someone to talk to, listen 75% of the time and talk 25% of the time.
- don't say anything when you are mad. you may end up saying something that you will regret.

next, family life:
- like i said before, listen to your parents!
- and...don't hurt your siblings, no matter how annoying they are!
- your family is your life line. never desert them.
- treasure each moment with your family!
- put your family first before anything!

and finally...love:
- don't change yourself for a someone, it's not worth it! if they don't like you for who you are, then forget it!
- don't fall for someone who is a heck of a lot older than you, because it usually doesn't work out.
- never get together with your best friend's ex, even if they made the first move. that's just low.
- don't be afraid to talk to someone! you'll never know unless you try.
- being practical is a million times better than being smooth.
- when talking to your crush, be sure to use your manners!
- in order for you to be likable right away, listen more than you talk. it will show that you are interested!
- when the time is right and the love is there, you'll know.
- don't rush things, because then you end up with a broken heart.
- when you first start off with the relationship, it's good to be in love, but try not to be too clingy. SPACE, people!
- meet the family and get in with them. your love will love you even more when they see how well you can relate to their mom, talk sports with your dad or play with your annoying little sister.
- there is no 'I' in love, so don't be the one taking on all the burden. equality = healthy :)

so here you go, some things to learn, some things to live by.
